Better late then never....

Ok, so I have been utterly remiss in my posting, but since it appears that I more or less only post for myself then it isn't that big of a deal! Never the less I m going to try and post more..."famous last words."

Well Keegan managed to get himself in the local paper the other day, when a photographer showed up at the Nursery School to take a pic of the kids in their Pj's.

FLUX

It has been a whirl wind of activities since my last post. To be honest I don't even really have time to be doing this one either. Hopefully when this move is over and I am in the comfort of our new home I will have a chance to post all that has happened. This displacement has been chaotic to say the least.

Hopefully, I might be able to post later today some of the recent going ons...I just need to find my card reader, hmm, now where did I put that?

Butterfly World and Goats on the Roof

Well today was a well earned day of rest. We headed off to Coombs to go to Butterfly World and Goats on the Roof with Amanda, James and Olivia. It was a terrific morning, the boys had an amazing time at Butterfly World and loved seeing the Goats on the Roof while we ate lunch and did a little shopping.

Look closely at Keegan shoulder...do you see it?

Keegan had his first melt down about 10 mins from home at about 1:30 pm. Sitting a car seat with a seat belt that he could unbuckle was his undoing...literally. But all in all it was a terrific day.

Cold for my bum...

So all in all it was another exhausting day of running around and getting things done. I managed to get several more things checked off my list today. Mind you, I have also added several to the schedule for tomorrow.

We had just gotten home from Home Depot and I was in one room and Keegan was in the other when I heard a commotion and the inevitable tears that followed said commotion. I run to Keegan to find a rubbermaid container flipped over and Keegan standing beside it crying with his hands on his back. I asked him what happened and he said "bum." I asked him if he fell on his "bum" and sure enough more tears a nod and "bum" mentioning followed by the request "cold for my bum."

Well how can you say no to that. So after his bath, which showed a rather nice red mark on his upper bum and lower back we went to the freezer to procure our "cold" and to watch Backyardigans in Mommies room. However, the "cold" was placed on his head and not his "bum."

It was cute never the less.

Off to Coombs in the morning to visit the butterfly exhibit with Amanda, James and Olivia...should be a nice break.

Second day of Summer was great...

Today, Keegan and I took a much needed day of rest and went to 2 birthday parties. It was a great day and a beautiful one.

a moving sale, 3 sally anne visits and a free sign!

Our morning started at 8 am and I found that the first time I sat down, besides lunch was 3 pm today after I put Keegan down for a nap.

Trying have a garage sale with a rambunctious 2 year old, didn't actually go to bad, only had to stick him in the house twice for a time out. We started pulling stuff out of the garage around 9 this morning and by quarter after 12 I was packing what was remaining into the car and a quick bathroom break and drink grab we were off to Sally Anne. I had to go to two different locations and make a second trip all together to finish off the remaining stuff.

By the time I got back from the second trip the free items at the end of the driveway were gone and we had had a nice lunch and Keegan was asleep.

Only to realize that at 5:30 when the doorbell rang that I had half an hour to return a movie or face the dreaded late charges...good thing the doorbell woke up Keegan. Returned the movie in the nick of time rented Keegan a new movie came home and made dinner.

So all in all, I would say rather productive day...I am exhausted!

$2000 Friday, formely know as Friday June 20th 2008

Now if you ask anyone, I have absolutely no problem spending money especially if it is something I really want. However, a block heater, now known as a in-line coolant heater (just so Volkswagen can be different) and 24 hour return after departure airfare are neither what I would call something that I wanted.

Oh well, be that as it may...that is how I spent over $2000 dollars in less then an hour and half, I would have to say that might be a new record, as a car purchase and house do not count.

Sigh...

On another note which I find amusing Keegan was so helpful and well behaved that after a disastrous pizza and orange crush dinner, I gave him a bath and decided that after recycling that we would go for ice cream. Just as I was about to pull into the cue, Keegan feel asleep. He did however respond with a nod of his head, while sleeping mind you that he wanted an ice cream when I asked. So i bought him one and pulled over in attempt to wake him from slumber...I know horrible mother. But it was ice cream! Finally got him slightly roused that he grabbed the spoon to only stick his other hand in the ice cream, which might have helped him in waking up.

However, the first few bites were done asleep.

Remiss...

Well, I had all the intention of blogging more and even had a better schedule worked out to do so. However, I have been remiss in this intention. Although, to be honest, for the last 3 weeks I feel that I have been watching my life play out on poorly syndicated television show.

I know find myself, about to become a statistic of Divorce. While, I am still in the process of having to deal with this reality I am glad that this is happening as an adult and not child. To be honest I really don't think as I a child I would be have been able to handle this. I feel for all those that have gone through this situation, no matter their age. I only hope that they had someone who they could turn to, who could make them feel better and for that matter make them smile.

In all of this disarray I have a new found depth of appreciation for my sister. Out of all this, it has brought us closer.

As if that wasn't enough, I was in the middle of trying to sell my house, raise a child and be a good wife. The good wife part I am still working on. /evil grin

So while all of this is going on, showings, preparing to leave, and being on my own. I sell the house while Rye is off in Hinton flying. To have him get back Saturday, we leave for the HHT on Monday, which we cut short due to having to be back for Rye to head to the great white North this past Sunday.

So the HHT goes, we find a house we get back on the 14th, Rye leaves on the 15th, I sell the truck that night and then start the long and arduous process of getting the house ready to move and all that that entails.

Which brings us to today, to find out that Rye is in Greenland...I thought that you were supposed to be in Eureka. /scratches head

Oh well.

Still working on getting the house ready, making all necessary changes and getting in all those last minute appointments. Jetta goes in tomorrow for a block heater...I get cold thinking about it.

Saturday, I am going to attempt to have a Moving sale all on my lonesome. Sunday is double whammy b-day and to be honest I don't even want to tell what is planned for next week.

You know that song...I am slowly going crazy...

/points at herself.

As if the title wasn't daunting enough...

Daunting is an understatement. It is not as if this stuff is already way out of my league, the size of the book if dropped just right could literally kill me, if trying to learn it doesn't.

A Little Light Can Make a Big Difference

Every day, Canada's military personnel offer dedication and sacrifice on behalf of their country. Their family members and friends make sacrifices as well, persevering on at home when their loved ones are away.

Pelican Canada is proud to support Canadian soldiers by supplying durable, high-quality equipment that helps make their jobs easier and safer. But we wanted to do something more to offer our gratitude to our service people and their loved ones.

That's why we established the Protecting Those Who Protect Us Program. When you purchase the Canadian Forces Edition VB3, Pelican's compact, powerful LED flashlight available exclusively through this website, a portion of the proceeds will be contributed to the Military Family Funds (MFF) which was created in April 2007 in concert with Military Family Resource Centers (MFRC) across the country, to help military families within hours of being advised of need.

So purchase a Canadian Forces Edition VB3, spread the word to your friends and family, and join Pelican in thanking Canada's soldiers for all they do.

Taken directly from Pelican, follow the link above and show your support for the Canadian Troops and their families!

SAVE JPOD...

Another bad call made by TPTB...Canada finally has an original, witty, homemade production and I mean that in every sense of the word and what do the do they cancel it!

http://savejpod.ca wrote:

In the face of yet another soul-crushing decision by committee at a television network, the Canadian show jPod has not been renewed. This hip, funny and seriously clueful series based on Douglas Coupland’s novel jPod hasn’t even finished broadcasting its first season.

http://savejpod.ca is an effort by a couple of geeky fans to try and save the day and Just Say No To Steve, by organizaing, getting the word out, setting up a petition and reporting on the lastest Save jPod news.

If you haven’t seen the show yet, watch full episodes online at http://cbc.ca/jpod/

Thank you for you support!

So, if you love Jpod or if you haven't seen it, go and watch it and fall in love with and then follow the link to the petition and lets save Jpod!

Finding Love

This past Sunday the Chicks Who Click class got together for day of shooting in Cumberland. Our adventure was to find love.

Here is what I put together quickly...hoping that once this move is over and I have a space for myself, I might be able to find sometime for me.

Yes We Can

This is by no means my political stance, however to deny the message that this video represents is to deny the basic fundamentals as a people that we have the right to believe. The right to hope for better days, the right to believe in something that transcends political, religious and social views.

for the love of...

The mood to which I have befallen, is anything but enthusiastic...atm a corpse has more enthusiasm then I do. Nothing against the people that call Portage home, but I fear that I am going to have a harder time with this posting then initially thought. Alas, atm the housing market is a rather large slump, hoping that it picks up in the next 6 - 8 weeks. As for amenities, well...as much as it pains me to admit this Moose Jaw at this particular moment as far more to offer...ugh, argh...pain in chest increasing, shortness of breath occurring. For the love of all that is holy someone please wake me up from this nightmare that has become my all consuming terror and life!

Ok, I feel a bit better, ok no not really! Give me some more time!

I am in mourning...

I mourn the loss of my twenties today. While I look forward to the adventure that awaits me in my thirties, I am not sure that I have accomplished all that I wanted to in my twenties.

Oh well, c'est le vie!
