A Geeky Studio Space
With the revamp of the playroom, you can read about it here. I moved onto the other half of the room known as my studio space. I think I now have it the way I want it. It's not perfect, but it will work for the next four years of this posting.

Bad BlogPress and Blogger Apps
Well it appears my geeky gadgets of technology have failed me! Sad face! It appears that not only has BlogPress not been fixed, but my back up use of Blogger has failed me as well.
Here I thought that I was all ahead of the game and low and behold, not only have my posts not be been published but some are well, well lets just say they aren't pretty!
So much for me getting ahead on the blog this year.
Hopefully I can get this all fixed, but meh...now I am tetherd to the desktop again...argh!

I wish...
My wish is that someone would create an app for blogger so that I would be able to post from where ever I am. I have been unable to get the mobile/e-mail one to work correctly and wish that app existed that looked just like what I see on my computer.
This is my wish. That way when I have something to post I can, and I won't have to run down to my computer and hope that I have enough uninterrupted time in which to gather my thoughts, type it, and then post it.
I need my blogging life to be more compatiable with the current state of my life...lol

oops...
Well it seems the whole once a week thing has already, well...oops!
Turning 32 and feeling it, not to mention a sick one has caused my life to become somewhat chaotic since my last post...and the never-ending insanity that is my life!
So last week while the little guy wasn't all that well, I "mopped" and really didn't do all that much and it felt...GREAT! However, the price is now being payed as the finally week of January steam rolls ahead and I am playing catch-up...but this is where I excel.
So with a snow day yesterday I was able to accomplish a massive to-do list for the Nursery School, get a few of my own things done and then spend some curled up time with the gnomelit playing x-box...while hubby dutifully went out to brave the winter weather and rescue us from being snowed under in the blizzard...personally I think that he is having an affair with that snow blower! lol
Was called into work this morning, went well and I even managed to knock a few more things off my to-do list and finally got the coding to work and have now added...drum roll please...
My upcoming classes with working links...ya me! I know you can all go and laugh, but I was having such issues with the coding, it didn't want to take the one type that seems to work everywhere but here! :(
So I am thinking that another code and web design course might be in my future, but for now the massive yellow and black book will have to do...don't you just love dummy books!

the mini
The "mini" as I like to call it has been a love hate relationship for me ever since my husband brought it home. The "mini" while I wish it was the car is an Acer Aspire one laptop. It about the size of a mass paperback book and 2 inches thick. In a sense the perfect travel companion. It's rather slick design and brightly lite lcd screen is pleasant to look at and it comes in a variety of colors and secrets be told...I wouldn't mind owning the pink one! GASP...have no idea where this femine complusion comes from...but alas there it is. As for the hate part the shift key of the keyboard drives me nuts as I am rather large fan of using the left shift key for caps. I am forever finding my rather large and cumbersome fingers pressing the \ key rather then the shift key as to accomadate for a smaller laptop would you believe that they made the keyboard smaller. Oh well, aside from that one little thing, which with time like all new keyboards I will learn to adjust...I am unsure if I will ever adjust to the ever maddening scroll/touchpad mouse design. I am forever causing the screen to zoom and don't really know where exactly that invisible line is between it being an easy to use touch pad and the touch pad from hell. Know some my find this all in one touch pad the ideal solution...I would rather have teeth pulled!
But alas, atm I am feeling more and more love for the "mini" as it allows me to go places with much more ease then the 17 inch Sony. Ya for blogging in bed and not taking up more room then my discarded Breaking Dawn.

SAVE JPOD...
Another bad call made by TPTB...Canada finally has an original, witty, homemade production and I mean that in every sense of the word and what do the do they cancel it!

In the face of yet another soul-crushing decision by committee at a television network, the Canadian show jPod has not been renewed. This hip, funny and seriously clueful series based on Douglas Coupland’s novel jPod hasn’t even finished broadcasting its first season.
http://savejpod.ca is an effort by a couple of geeky fans to try and save the day and Just Say No To Steve, by organizaing, getting the word out, setting up a petition and reporting on the lastest Save jPod news.
If you haven’t seen the show yet, watch full episodes online at http://cbc.ca/jpod/
Thank you for you support!

geek in full swing
I recently stumbled upon my very own geek. Had some inklings that I was kind of geeky, but was very surprised to find out just how geeky. More on this realization to come....
