Terrific Target Tuesday

Being in a rental house I really don't have the luxury of making to many changes. So on that notion I had decided that I was going to make some curtains for the boys rooms to add a punch of color to their walls.

I had made the measurements and knew what material I wanted so I was off to Target then to the fabric store with my plan.

On my way out of Target I passed the isle with the curtains so I stopped to take a look at the price in comparison for the fabric I would be buying. Sadly it wasn't a great deal, off to the fabric store.

When my cart comes to a screeching halt when I see this...


A two panel pack in the color I wanted on clearance...woot! I then began an excited feverish search for enough to cover 3 windows. I found this one at 42" by 84" and hidden behind a whole row of other curtains I found two more packs at 42" by 64".

For the price how could I go wrong. It was a time saver at a great price.


The highlight after finding these was the price. They were marked down to $13.98 and rang up at $6.88! /does a happy dance all the way over to Starbucks

The Smash Page Reveal!

Spoiler Alert: There are still one or two Ladies that have not received their package, so if you are any of them and read my blog skip this post if you don't want to see the pages that you will hopefully getting very soon. :)

In this post, I mentioned that I was involved in a Smash Page exchange with a whole bunch of girls from the Cricut forums back in January. Well my package of Smash Pages has finally arrived so I can now share my pages and all the others from the exchange.

Peeps! They aren't just for eating!

 Whether you "love" or "detest" these sugar coated marshmallow's treats, you have to admit that Peeps are cute!

Over the years Peeps have changed and they seem to appear at more holidays then they did in previous years.

For me, the arrival of the little yellow Chick Peeps meant that Easter was coming soon. In the last few years Bunnies now seem to accompany the Chicks and they come in an array of colors rather then just the standard yellow.

Card Organizationa and Storage

A few days ago I started a major overhaul of my studio space. You can read about it here. While there are still things to do, it is much more workable then it's previous incarnation. Each move, each house for that matter I face challenges of which room will I set-up in and what solution is going to work the best. Over the years, I have found my Ikea Ivar shelving to be the saving grace for each and every room, it's just a matter of working it all out and then setting it up. Eventually I will have the studio space of my dreams but for now I'll make do.

Anyhoo, this post is about my the revamp of my card organization.

It was that time of the month this past weekend, Buchanan's Vintage Market Antiques and Collectibles was at the Oklahoma State Fair.

Internet issues, the Commercial Bowl and Chili

Well today while the chili was simmering all day for the Commercial Bowl I was trying to get my Internet up and running. With this post I have succeeded, we just won't mention or show the LAN cables running through the house...sigh.

A Geeky Studio Space

With the revamp of the playroom, you can read about it here. I moved onto the other half of the room known as my studio space. I think I now have it the way  I want it. It's not perfect, but it will work for the next four years of this posting.

The Playroom revamp...

I posted yesterday that the newest addition for storage for the playroom had arrived. After I assembled it, I then spent the next hour or so moving the room around and around until I came upon a configuration that I felt best suited the room. The room is  the 3rd car garage that for the most part is finished...if you over look the garage door!

This is a picture taken from the doorway that leads into the house. This garage has two windows which allow for a nice amount of natural light in the room.
